Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC)

The IPCC is basically a super official group of scientists from all around the world that’s been evaluating the current state of the climate since 1988. Their major reports are called Assessment Reports, which they release in a few parts every ~7 years. These reports contain their most recent findings and, you guessed it, assessments of the current climate – think of it as an eco state of the union.

Right now we’re in the 6th cycle and it’s significant because, after this one, there’s low confidence that our actions will be able to reverse any amount of severe damage.

You can read the highlights – or all the details – on the IPCC site.
