Gift registries are SO practical. Why do we only really use them for weddings? They can apply to any gift giving occasion! And they’re perfect – I get to tell you exactly what I want, you can find out exactly what I want, you choose what’s in your budget/is the most meaningful to you, then you can buy it and maintain the element of surprise. I see no flaws.
